Car Choices:
It is always diesel over gasoline everytime; and why we say that? Choosing a diesel powered Carens would reward you strong acceleration (when driven above normal mode) and decent fuel economy. One huge advantage is the availability of units carrying that engine and parts for it is easy to buy. We wouldn't bother that much with the gasoline engine since finding one isn't worth it (it was dropped in 2009) and with the impressive diesel's existence, the appeal became less. Gasoline models has a standard 5-speed manual while diesels gain a 6-speed one.

LX variants are identified by their steel rims and black door handles and mirrors and get power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, and CD player. EX models gains alloy wheels, airbags, ABS brakes, roof rails, cargo cover, keyless entry, alarm system, heated mirrors, and they can be distinguished by their color coded handles and mirrors. A rear wiper with washer system is standard across the range.
