Car Choices:
It won't win any speed awards but the 146hp 3.0 diesel is fuel efficient and smooth when driven prudently. Refinement isn't good at high speeds, as the vehicle gets noisy. The good thing is both manual (4x2 only) and automatic transmissions are available.

Whatever drivetrain you get, the standard features offered are: dual airbags, ABS brakes, parking sensors,  fog lamps, leather seats, all power amenities, CD player, DVD player, LCD monitors for both rear and front (latter standard for 2008 and later models), 5.1 Dolby Digital/DTS Surround System, keyless entry, alarm, back-up camera, Bluetooth, and infrared headphones (the last three are added in an update done in 2008). A navigation system is added in 2011 to the Urban Cruiser as a dealer option, which is one option worth tracking down. The plain 4x2 and 4x4 were renamed as Urban Cruiser in 2011 and (again) renamed as the Urban Cruiser X in 2012, which also added the Zen variant during that year. Zen is available in 4x2 MT while the Urban Cruiser in all drivetrain and transmission configurations.
