Car Choices:
Do not expect too much in terms of performance since you are not racing this van. For all intents and purposes, go between the 82hp 2.4 (shared with the Revo and Hilux) standard among Commuter models or the 90hp 3.0 diesels in the Grandia. They are great pullers and cheap to keep but not remarkable in that aspect.

The second option is a 2.0 94hp gasoline engine that has a carburetor system placed in the GL. Do give this engine a miss since it is too less for a 1,700kg van whose main task is to ferry 10 people.

Commuter models are the basic, as they carry the following items: steel wheels, power steering, cassette player, power door locks, and power windows (the latter two are installed in later models). The GL gains steel wheels with cover, front fog lamps, rear wiper with washer, high-mount stop lamp, and tachometer. Our pick is the Grandia that adds body stickers, moquette seats, cup holders, center console box, and is available with the 3.0 engine. The Super Grandia adds a rear defogger, and dual captain's chairs in the second row. Do take note that the Commuter seats 12 while the others can accommodate 10.
