Car Choices:
For a large sedan like the A8, going small is the order of the day. And the smallest engine displacement available is the 3.0 V6 diesel which gives you enough power to motivate this car and consumes less fuel. Finding one is easy, too.
Other engine choices (of gasoline origin) include the following: a 3.2 V6, 4.2 V8, and a 6.0 W12. The 3.2 V6 is one sensible choice if you prefer the smoothness of a gasoline engine. We wouldn't bother with both the 4.2 and 6.0 especially running costs are very expensive.
Choosing the lesser engine would still give you tons of standard equipment. All variants get leather upholstery, moon roof, stability control, 12 speakers paired to a BOSE sound system, keyless entry, six-disc changer, two LCD screens, rain sensing wipers, and most important on a car this long, parking sensors.
