Car Choices:
This is a twin of the Ford Ranger, so it makes sense to plop in the same engines. Both the 143hp 2.5 and 156hp 3.0 4-cylinder diesel are energetic. We would go for the 2.5 if you do not have any intentions of leaving the cemented roads. No automatic transmission available here, sorry.

4x2 models get the 2.5 engine plus a driver's airbag, limited slip differential, side step board, fabric seats, lockable and illuminated glove box, power windows, power mirrors, power door locks, power steering, six disc changer, keyless entry, and alarm. 4x4 adds the 3.0 engine, ABS brakes, bed liner, and bed roll bar. A special edition model named the SVP gets the 3.0 engine plus the goodies available with the 4x2.
