Car Choices:
Both the 83hp 2.4 and the 88hp 2.8 4-cylinder diesels are noisy and unrefined. However, they shine on what their role as pick-up trucks should be: hauling and possessing engine durability. A great choice if you wouldn't be using that much for that personal lakad. Do take note 2WD models have the 2.4 engine while 4WD gets the 2.8 as standard.
Standard 4x2 (renamed as the DLX in 2003) gets steel wheels, vinyl seats, power steering, air conditioning, and cassette player. Added in 1999 is the XS 4x2 which adds alloy wheels, body stickers, power mirrors, power windows, and power door locks. Stepping to the Deluxe (became the DLX later on) gives you 4x4 system, steel wheels, step board, and dual cup holders. SR5 gives you alloy wheels, driver's airbag, body stickers, and door pockets.
