Car Choices:
This is one rare moments we would favor the gasoline powerplant over the diesel. Having 136hp, it is not remarkable in terms of acceleration but it is smooth and you'll feel the difference after riding a diesel unit. To know you are getting this engine, check if it has dual sliding doors.

There is nothing to fault about the 87hp 2.5 diesel. Maintaining one is easy, thanks to parts sharing with the L300 and Adventure. However, refinement is not an advantage and with the column mounted manual gearshift, developing carpal tunnel syndrome (nangangawit ang kamay in Filipino parlance) can start here when it is a habit.

1997 to 2003 models have rear wiper and washer system, fog lamps, power windows, power mirrors, cassette player, and steel rims. The late 2003 update gained alloy rims, analogue clock, VCD/DVD player with overhead monitor, and an automatic transmission apart from the first four features mentioned.
