Used Car Review - Opel Omega (1997-2002)
Car Choices:
This is one rare chances we tell you to avoid a common engine option. The 2.0 4-cylinder that has 136hp is easy to find but performance is poor due to the heavy engine and reliability is a let down. We wouldn't go for one, to be honest; instead, we pick the 170hp 2.5 V6 despite being sold for a short period (it was dropped in 2000). Fast and not strained, the V6 fits the Omega's personality well.
LS models are available with the 4-cylinder engine plus dual airbags, ABS brakes, front and rear fog lamps, fixed steering wheel adjustment, leather seats, folding rear seat, stop watch, automatic climate control, all power amenities, and six disc changer. Choosing the CD gives you the V6 engine, adjustable steering wheel with tilt, and Bose sound system.
