Car Choices:
Start your search with 2008 and later models, if possible, since they carry the 2.5 inline five diesel that churns out 185hp. This one offers decent acceleration in the low rev range while returning respectable fuel mileage in the process. Polestar tuned ones have 210hp and it is offered from June 2013.

Unless you have deep pockets, there are numerous gasoline engines to choose from. Lets start from the turbocharged ones: first is the 210hp 2.5 turbocharged, and second is a 268hp 2.8 inline six turbocharged discontinued in 2007. Among them we would go for the former as it is offered for long and gives you more. An update in 2007 added a 238hp 3.2 inline six naturally aspirated and a 315hp 4.4 V8 but neither of them are worth buying in the second hand car point of view.

You get tons of standard equipment, trim level notwithstanding. Safety isn't left behind especially you get six airbags, ABS brakes, stability and traction control, rear parking sensors, and integrated child seat booster in the second row. Other features include cruise control, fog lamps, roof rails, rear spoiler, automatic HID headlamps, leather seats, power mirrors with fold, automatic front climate control, six disc changer, separate rear audio controls, hands free phone system, on board computer, keyless entry, and alarm. Top end models (2.8 in 2004-2007, 3.2 in 2007-2008 then 4.4 from 2008 until 2010) get DVD function with rear LCD screens and moon roof. By 2011, the 3.2 gasoline and 2.5 diesel remained in the line-up. R-Design package is only made available with the diesel that has 20 inch wheels, running board, side scuff plate, exterior chrome kit, and sport exhaust system.
