Car Choices:
Ecofreaks need not apply here; that's if we are talking about the V8 and the by order basis V12 engines. Choose the 3.0 in either diesel (our pick) or gasoline but finding one requires some effort. This does not mean the V8s - the 3.3 (735Li), 4.4 (745Li), 5.0 (750Li) - and the 6.0 (760Li) are no poor picks; they are just pricey to own.

Short wheelbase models are rare, only available between 2002 and 2003. So expect to get yourself a long wheelbase unit, just like the previous model. Whatever engine you get, the number of standard equipment is still there. Amenities include leather seating, stability control, parking sensors, rain sensors, fog lamps, sun shade, alarm system, LCD monitor with TV, and the annoying iDrive system (some models have a system for the rear occupants).
